This is a loud, high-energy tribute to the “skate-thrash” aesthetic of the 80s and 90s. I took the internet’s favorite nickname for the raccoon and gave it a literal, denim-clad identity. Clad in a custom battle vest featuring legends like Vio-lence, Warbringer, and Suicidal, the character stands as a mascot for the DIY ethos of the metal scene. The toxic green spill and neon-yellow topographic lines are a nod to the “Crossover” art style, turning a common urban animal into the ultimate guardian of the mosh pit.
The project demonstrates how a character-driven illustration can be deconstructed into a full brand identity. By creating a secondary “doodle” pattern (skulls, beer, and radioactive symbols) for skate decks and footwear, and a simplified “portrait” logo for apparel, I aimed to showcase a cohesive visual language that works across different mediums. It’s a bridge between character design and real-world streetwear application.
