The Illusion of Eternity’s Wisdom

The Illusion of Eternity’s Wisdom draws heavily on the mythic themes of Amorphis’s Queen of Time. At its heart stands the Golden Elk Cow, a reimagining of the forest deity as a maternal “Queen” who transcends the rise and fall of human eras. She is flanked by the duality of nature: the Bees, representing the celestial honey that restores life in the Kalevala, and the Crows, the watchful messengers of memory and transition. Set against an eternal landscape of jagged peaks and deep pines, the piece is enclosed in a circular frame of Sielulintu (Soul-bird) patterns—traditional Finnish motifs designed to guard the spirit during its journey. This work explores the paradox of “wisdom” in a world where everything is fleeting, yet the cycle itself remains golden and unbroken.
