Periphery of Notion
This series explores the transformative power of hallucinogens and their ability to fracture our learned perspectives. Using the iconic Amanita muscaria and the intricate Clathrus archeri (Octopus Stinkhorn) as focal points, the work illustrates the “ego death”—the moment where the individual self dissolves into a chaotic, vibrant, and much larger reality. I utilized watercolor, glitch-art techniques, and saturated, fluid textures to represent the sensory overlap and the breaking of traditional mental structures. It’s a study of the space beyond the familiar, where the “periphery” of our understanding becomes the center of a new, unfiltered existence.
